Options for your smile
Stained or yellowed teeth are a common complaint. Our tooth enamel whitening is a fast and easy procedure. We can sometimes achieve beautiful whitening results in just one session.
Porcelain Veneers or Dental Bonding
Porcelain veneers are wafer thin tooth-colored shells of porcelain that mask cracked or broken teeth, re-structure misshapen teeth, or cover stains. Dental bonding is similar, but the material that is applied is a thin coating of resin instead of porcelain. It can be every bit as effective in masking problems as porcelain and is more affordable. Dental bonding does not last nearly as long as porcelain, however.
Invisalign® Tooth Realignment
As a more attractive alternative to metal braces, Invisalign® aligners are just as effective and take about the same amount of time as traditional braces in shifting the positions of misaligned teeth. They are clear plastic and thus nearly invisible, so your smile is not temporarily dominated with a mouthful of metal. Many patients find them to be both convenient and comfortable.
If a tooth is damaged too severely by a cavity to be simply filled with a composite filling, we can restructure the whole tooth. Dr. Aaron removes any infected tooth pulp by performing a root canal. Then to restore both function and appearance, he seals the tooth from further damage with a dental crown over the entire tooth.
When many teeth are missing, removable dentures become an option. We supply both full and partial dentures. With the modern materials available today, we can achieve a remarkably comfortable fit and realistic appearance.
Implants utilize titanium posts that are surgically implanted into the patient's upper or lower jawbone. This structure then supports a permanent replacement tooth. Implants remain in place and permit more comfortable eating and speaking than dentures.
Remaining in place, dental bridges are also more permanent solutions than dentures. The bridge is a construction of artificial teeth held in place by a crown on healthy teeth at each end of the bridge. Their appearance is of normal healthy teeth.
Sometimes it is not the teeth that are the problem. Excessive gingival display, known colloquially as a "gummy smile," is when your gums appear too prominent, making your teeth seem too small. In just one pain-free office visit Dr. Aaron can gently sculpt your gums with a diode laser, giving you a better proportion of teeth to gums.
In life, your smile is your ticket to socialization. We can help give you that ticket. To learn more or to schedule an appointment, call Kmart Dental today at 305-947-9001.
